I had the same trouble when I was updating my fathers computer from a 486DX 100 to a AMD 400
with 64meg of ram 8meg v/card onboard it would start up alright but when rebooting it would beep
all the time. By changing the ram from slot 0 to
slot 1 fixed the problem hope this will fix yours. John.
