Michael,

The Duron and Athlon chips are having a tough time with inadequate power supplies. AMD maintains a list of PSes that are certified for use with their chips, and your motherboard manufacturer may also maintain a list.

Check both to ensure your PS is certified for use with your CPU/motherboard combination.

Also search Google for reboot/lockup issues associated with your particular CPU/motherboard combo as well as anything related to your PS and your CPU.

I've replaced a few motherboards, Duron chips, and power supplies over the last few weeks that were failing due to power issues.

Remember, your power supply must maintain an inrush current (initial surge) sufficient to boot the Duron/Athlon chips and to maintain their stability.
