I have been having all sorts of problems with msgsrv not responding when I try and run media from certain CDs. Both CDs are commercial and completely unrelated and both have been tested on other machines. The DVD-ROM drive will rev up cause the computer to slow way down. After about 3 minutes msgsrv32 will go not responding and the computer will completely freeze.
I know the issues with the DVD-ROM drive may be hardware related, but is there any reason why msgsrv32 is involved? Any fix for msgsrv32 hanging like that?
