I was hit with the Chernobyl virus. My screen went blank and I had to reload my recovery disk. I am new with the computer and don't know much about Mother boards and such. Or how this virus has effected my PC.
I was just sent this site on Mrecovery and am not sure if it is too late for me to retrieve any of my lost data. I didn't seem to have any problems reloading my recovery and am back on line. But I did loose everything and am back to where my PC was when I first bought it. I hear of others who have been hit with the same virus and how they had to replace parts on their PC. Am I just lucky at getting mine going again or am I operating on a time bomb? Will I be able to retrieve any of my lost work? Any advise as far as what I might expect will be appreciated. Thank you,
