I have had a good degree of success with a program called Recover 98. I was able to recover many MS Word, Excel and Html documents. There may be some problems with database files, but I havenīt examined this in depth.
You have to recreate the hard disk partition and format it once again. Then run the recovery program. It takes a bit of effort to find everything, but itīs worth it!
I think the program costs $200 or $300. I got the program from
