The are certainly more effective means to identify users for e-commerce security.
I don't feel that giving out my PC serial number is the answer.
This allows too many variables into play.
What if I want to use another PC to access my account? This does not seem to be a viable answer.
I will indeed refuse to purchase anymore more Intel products.
