This is just another example of the "Crisis Mentality"
that seems to permeate the human spirit. My guess is
that Sweden ha State Owned power generation.
I say this because if they were profit driven this
would not even be an issue. Only beaurocrats would be
this nonchalant about losing something this critcal.
I have worked for a major power company in the US on a
contract basis for some time now. US power companies
are driven by the almighty dollar. Ergo, this will
never be an issue here.
The company I work for started their Y2K compliance
program back in 1993. This was not for some pious
humanitarian notion, it was to keep the money train
on track.
I am sure that every other US power company has
done the same.
I guess this is one more example why more and more
government services should be privatized.
