They still are not putting a boundary around the "OS" and giving real competitors equal access to it. As long as they continue to use OS ownership as a tool to destroy competition I feel like they are destroying opportunities for innovation in the entire industry.
I too hold the same opinion that this action doesn't come close to changing my opinion about the situation. The mere announcement and the reactions of the these companies (Gateway & Hewlett Packard)adds further credence to the allegations of Microsoft unfair practices. I am growing tired of changing operating systems every two years just so Microsoft can put an end to another potential competitor who might steal 10% of their profits.
