It is quite obvious that the Justice Department along with the 20 States Attorneys have merely joined those Microsoft Bashers and its competition in filing the suit.
One could argue that there is a monopoly held by Microsoft, but that possible monopoly is in the area of PC operating systems, NOT in the area of Internet browsers!
What the Microsoft distractors quite clearly have failed to discover is that you can install both Internet Explorer and Netscape on one PC. You can then designate one as the default Browser. There may be a question of interoperability between Netscape and some of the Microsoft tools, but that is NOT the problem of Microsoft - it is clearly a Netscape problem, if it exists.
Why the Government thniks it can dictate to a private company what products it can sell in what type of packaging, is totally beyond me other than that it may be reacting to fear mongering by Microsoft distractors and competitors.
There are many REAL trusts in existence or being built today that may have more drastic effects on our lives, Microsoft's empire is not one of them!
