:Could someone review the definition of socialism for me?

:-) I hope not, but I agree with the sentiment. Only a couple of years ago I was an anti-Microsoft Amiga computer buff, as ardent as any Apple owner in my belief that the evil empire lived in Washington State. What changed that was Win95. Basically, it finally delivered what I loved about the Amiga. I also had mainstream support at last. I still own and use my A2000.

Can anyone deny that it is better to have one common operating system underlying most of the applications instead of rewriting them for dozens and dozens of OS's? It for sure lowers the price.

Even the government that sues MS would hate not having Windows. Indeed, all the military forces and most federal and state offices have long ago "standardized" on Windows/MSoffice/Internet Explorer. They abhored all the proprietary OS's and protocals that kept them from trading our personal information freely between themselves. Yet now they scream monopoly, when NO ONE made MS a monopoly more surely than they did themselves.

What computer did everyone want to buy? THE SAME KIND THEY USED EVERY DAY IN THE OFFICE! Right? Microsoft cheerfully let us all pirate MSoffice etc for years from our offices, and learned the wisdom of it. That's why they give IE away free.
