Let's play Monopoly!!! I think the US government is confusing the Parker Bros. game with REAL monopoly. I DO think Microsoft and Mr. Gates are guilty of sliminess and doing their best to crush competition, and I hate them for it, but they also are following the American Dream of "free enterprise". A monopoly? How can they be faulted for being more successful than anyone else?

Anyone wishing to out-market them is still free to do so. The best product seldom wins. (remember the VHS-BETA thingy?)

As another poster has pointed out, one can still use the browser of his/her choice. In fact, they can use the browser of their choice as the DEFAULT, and completely remove /ignore IExplore.

My theory? The feds know nuttin about technology, and simply have an axe to grind against Microsoft and Gates for making more money than they do. They want to use Microsoft to pay down the national debt ;)
