: Would you channel surf ZDTV? (DGL)
: That depends entirely on the content. A clear yes, if
: there is something to learn on that channel. Most of
: the proverbial "computerheads/buffs/nerds" may not need
: that but they constitute a small minority of 10% or
: less.
: If the internet aspires to become the home of all or
: most people, education is needed, simpler and more user
: friendly software is needed, lower prices are needed.
: If a TV channel directs most of its attention to the
: other 90% of the population, there is no reason why it
: shouldn't become a resounding success.
: If, however, the programming consists mostly of
: "nerdhead" talkshows that nobody else understands,
: failure is certain.

I agree with Peter to an extent. However, it is difficult
to determine where to draw the line between "nerdhead" info
and basic instruction for people just starting out.
I am a "nerdhead" and since I work out of my
home and have a TV in my office, I would enjoy watching
such a channel with a good mix of introductory as well as
high tech information. In this ever changing technical
world, it's impossible to stay on top of things and,
therefore, highly technical information would be helpful
also.

I would definitely watch!
