Certification Required.

Trainers need certification to get ahead. Certification means more opportunity and more money.

The first step to PTT certification is to successfully complete the Train the Trainer Advanced Seminar & Conference. This 2-day event will hone your training skills beyond what you may have imagined possible. And it makes you eligible to apply for Professional Technical Trainer certification.

Both the Advanced Seminar and the Boot Camp are open to teachers, instructors, and trainers from all disciplines.

The seminars are running in a few weeks. Register now.

Iomega Thinks It's Peerless

by Dave Murphy
ISSN 1535-3613

Dave Murphy, DGL President & ITrain founder Peerless is the name of the new storage product from Iomega, makers of Zip and Jaz drives.

The Peerless system, a standalone, peripheral drive that comes in 10 gigabyte and 20 gigabyte capacities exceeds the current capacity of both DVD-R & CD-R and DVD-RW & CD-RW disks.

The two-piece system includes a disk roughly the size of a handheld computer or PDA, which slips into a vertical docking station. The drive will sell for about $250 while the disks will retail at $160 for 10 gigabytes and $200 for 20 gigabytes. Watch for discounts on bundles and other promotions.

Here's a snippet from Iomega's rave:
This new, sleekly designed magnetic storage drive is super-fast, with transfer rates up to 15 MB/sec. The drive supports modular connectivity, so you can link it to FireWire, USB, and SCSI computer interfaces. And in the near future, additional interfaces may also be available for you to link the Peerless to your satellite TV, your home entertainment center, and even your car.

A 20GB removable drive sounds pretty cool. I've been using Castlewood's Orb 2.2GB drives for a few years, but 2GB just isn't enough for me. I'm looking at 60GB portable hard drives that connect via USB and FireWire, but one drop and a hard drive is shot. A handful of Peerless drives wouldn't be bad, especially if they're practically unbreakable like the Zips, Jazes, and Orbs
