Microsoft To Release Product Trio

Microsoft has announced plans to release a trio of products for the desktop in early 1999. The closely-timed releases will emphasize integration of the three products: Office 2000, Internet Explorer 5.0, and Win98's SR-1 (Service Pack-1 update).

The Win98 SP-1 will include Device Bay hardware support; additional support for modem drivers and Universal Serial Bus modems; Wake-On LAN functionality; ATM networking updates; and Distributed Component Object Model 98. Service Pack 2 for Explorer 4.0 will consist primarily of security and bug fixes.

The Windows 98 Service Pack 1 will enable the complete functionality of this great operating system. It will include all of the originally-planned capabilities of Windows 98. It's a must-have upgrade.
