Eudora Pro 4.1 Sends & Receives in Background
Version 4.1 allows messages to be sent and received concurrently. If you're receiving a large number of messages, they'll begin displaying in their respective mailboxes after 25 have been downloaded. You can change this number by modifying the "NewMailUpdateFrequency" option in the eudora.ini file. The 4.1 upgrade also fixes a potential security problem in Eudora Pro 4.0 -- one which opened you up to file attachments that could erase files or install a virus. Additional security enhancements include a switch to enable executable files in HTML messages (off by default), and the option to have Eudora issue a warning when a program is launched from within an email message (on by default). Eudora Pro 4.1 is a "must have" upgrade. the security enhancements and concurrent send/receive function are worth the download and installation time.
