New features and operational changes in PSP version 5 Beta 2.4 are:
Paint Shop Pro
- Added planar image support to TWAIN acquire module.
- The main PSP window is no longer disabled when a data source is running. (This was causing problems for some TWAIN devices.)
- DPI Information is now moved in and out of the clipboard.
- Image arithmetic now works on flattened versions of the images.
- Full screen preview no longer leaves a border on the left side of the screen.
- Full screen preview no longer allows any commands other than window control commands.
- File / Save Copy As no longer resets the modified attribute of a document.
- Customize toolbar command should no longer crash on some systems.
- The browser no longer shows hidden folders.
- The deformation tool constrains to the images original aspect ration when using the right mouse button.
- Histogram stretch function now works properly with selections.
- Reasonable limits have now been implemented for many of the "modify" commands.
- Very wide but short images now appear correctly when initially opened.
- Mouse wheel zoom support has been added.
- Smudge and push brushes no longer take colors from outside a selection.
- Grid spacing controls now accept decimal numbers.
- Plug-in format auto identification is now disabled as the default.
- Performing deformations on non-floating selections now works correctly.
Animation Shop
- Added support for a mouse wheel; rotating the mouse wheel will zoom the current animation in and out.
- Fixed problem with undoing a drag
- Fixed problem with drag and drop with propagate paste turned on
- Fixed screen paint problem with overlapping windows at high zoom levels.
- Fixed memory allocation problems in optimizer and transition dialogs.
