Qualcomm has released the first beta version of Eudora Pro 4.0. This best-selling email client has been redesigned with a user- friendly interface that includes normal, docked and floating windows.

Mail routing features include support for online IMAP4 (Internet Message Access Protocol), POP3 (Post Office Protocol), and SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) and the Ph directory services let you find almost anyone's address on the Internet.

The support for EMSAPI 4.0 lets plug-ins to do more with all types of message management, sorting, and processing tasks.

Windows OLE Automation gives third-party developers and edge when incorporating Eudora Pro 4.0 functionalities within customized applications.
