Dave Murphy, DGL President & ITrain founder In Netscape Navigator's preferences dialog, it's possible to have graphic images displayed only after they have completely downloaded to your system.

Many website developers use imgage width and height controls when coding their site's HTML. This allows most new web browsers to properly layout the webpage and display text faster because white space is allocated for the graphic images that may take longer to download.

If the image display is delayed until the entire graphic is received, the text may display even faster.

To set this option:

  1. Open Netscape Navigator
  2. Click Options
  3. Click General Preferences
  4. Click Images
  5. Click [Display Images] After Loading
  6. Click OK
