JASC, Inc. has released beta 2 of Paint Shop Pro 4.12.

The most popular graphic design program for designers of Internet websites is posted at JASC's public ftp site.

Paint Shop Pro, PSP as it's commonly written, creates transparent .gif format files in the new GIF89a format. It also saves graphic images in most popular formats and resolutions.

This program is comparable to Adobe's PhotoShop, and it is much easier to learn and use.

The file is available at ftp://ftp.jasc.com/pub/PSP412B2.EXE.

JASC's website allows a maximum of 175 concurrent users, and it is very busy. If you don't get through on the first try, give it a few seconds and try again. If you're not able to get through after a reasonable amount of time, try just before noon GMT.

12/19/96: DGL Information Services note: Paint Shop Pro 4.12 Beta 3 is available.
