Web Browswer Preferences Survey Results |
||||
|
On November 7, 1996 we posted a web browser preference questionnaire online - http://dgl.com/browser.html.
Thank you very much if you participated in this survey. We will keep the survey active and watch for trend changes. We're posting the results today because almost all responses were received within 48 hours of the survey's being posted and the last two days have been slow. A total of 181 responses were received. Stats for each question are listed in descending order of frequency. Each answer is followed by the exact number of responses and the frequency percentage. Note, respondents did not necessarily answer all questions asked of them. ---------- Question 1) What is your current operating system?
---------- Question 2) What web browser do you use?
---------- Question 3) What is your Internet access speed?
---------- Question 4) How long are you willing to wait for a page to load before clicking on a new URL?
---------- Do you surf with graphics on or off?
----------
Comment: Almost all Windows NT users preferred MS IE3.x as their web browser. All other answers were well dispersed among the possible relationships, and no other patterns were discerned.
